Be Yourself

First episode in a new ongoing show on using social/digital to engage with people (customers, an audience for teaching, etc.).

Using these platforms/tools can be super powerful and really help drive not only your brand but establish you as a trusted source of information to the community at large. One key thing, though, is to be authentic… honestly what I mean is just be yourself. People love to hear from those folks they trust and feel comfortable with.

As part of that, you want to be yourself on these tools. You wouldn’t go to a bar and stand on a stool just spouting off things you want to say, not actually having a conversation with anyone. Always be yourself… use language you would in person, being cautious about things like swearing, slang, etc.
