Welcome to the new show about all kinds of technology I use or interact with on a daily basis.
Most of the content will be based on tech I have at home, what I use it for, and why it gets me excited. One of the running sub-series will be on my journey in learning about programming and how to write applications.
This sub-topic stems from an early decision in college to not focus on the Computer Science route because I had been led to believe (unclearly) that it was all about writing programs. At that time in my youth I really thought that meant looking at lines of code all day and nothing else, which I now know couldn’t be further from the truth. Unfortunately that decision and my miconsceptions about Computer Science kept me actively away from those subjects most of my career.
Not until the end of my time at my last company, and really once I started at Cisco, did I realize how big the world of programmability is, and what it truly enables invidivuals and businesses to do.
Episode 1 will be an intro to the series, specifically on how things are going with my learning to code. Kicked off my training recently and ran into the Py app for iOS that’s been a huge help.
