Cisco Live Las Vegas 2017

In the technology industry, there are a TON of tech conferences to choose from. Some focus on networking, some on sessions, others workshops, others… they don’t really know what they focus on.

One I believe everyone in technology agrees on is Cisco Live!

Here are my top reasons to attend Cisco Live, taking place in Vegas this June:

A chance to learn
This may seem like a completely obvious choice, but for anyone that hasn’t been, attending a learning session is a lot more than just your typical IT training seminar. Generally, they are hosted by Cisco engineers that have been around the block in our industry for years! They’re your chance to learn from folks that live & breath this stuff every day.

That swag
Who doesn’t need a new wardrobe?! As with any conference there are plenty of vendors who want to talk, show you what they can do for you, and… who are happy to hand out some legit swag. Wander the main floor and you’ll end up with everything from t-shirts, stickers, hats, bobble heads, and so much more random coolness! Every year at the Customer Appreciation event hats are given away to everyone. It’s a tradition going back a number of years and is a great way to break the ice and meet colleagues from across the world.

Networking with experts
How awesome would it be to spend one-on-one time with a Cisco technology expert, reviewing a current project, white boarding a problem, or just geeking out? You can do just that by selecting the 1:1 option when you book a session on the registration site.

Invest in innovation
Seriously focused sessions, each features a peek behind the curtain on Cisco’s roadmap for all things technology. This year we’ll see Susie Wee (VP & CTO of DevNet) talking about innovation through API’s, Scott Harrell (SVP Product Management) expanding on the world of analytics and how it impacts the “network”, and many more!

Cisco Live 2017 is shaping up to be one the most exciting years on record for change in the industry, and Vegas this June is the place to do this.
