This years Sonoma Winter Artisan Cheese Fair, hosted by Sheana Davis from Epicurean Connection, was my first, and well worth it. I don’t remember the last time so many great Cheese, Beer, Wine, Mac N Cheese and Ciders were in the same room together, so the memory (and taste) is burned into my mind.
Working with Alec the founder of Uncommon Brewers, we helped introduce attendees to beer and cheese flavors most had never tried, and I’m positive we opened a few palettes.
At the table, we posted up a sample of Valley Ford Montasio paired with Uncommon’s Baltic Porter, which to me proves that beer with cheese rocks.
Also featured was a Cider Tasting hosted by Tom Wark, Wine Tasting with Tracy Shepos, a Mac & Cheese contest, a number of amazing creameries and wineries, and even cheese rolling!
Along with several other beers including Uncommon’s Steamers Lane Lager, Long Form Tripple, and a special beer called Whiskey Thief.
The event was a lot of fun, and I’m looking forward to 2016.
